Lining of pressure vessel

Challenge

Erosion of stainless steel pressure vessel was occurring to lower vessel internal surfaces due to chemical reaction with vessel material, immediate action required to prevent a loss of primary containment.

Repair solution had environmental parameters which must be maintained, while managing application within a confined space entry (CSE).

Solution

Application of Belzona 1811 (Ceramic Carbide) ensuring operations are uninterrupted through next 5-yearly planned internal inspection of the vessel.

Temporary heaters to be installed ensuring product application meets manufactures guidelines.

Benefits

Our client has maintained uninterrupted service from the vessel, with no maintenance requirements to date.

Repair method carried out by AIM avoided weld repairs of vessel.
